She is an average lecturer, she has her good days and dry days. Tests are heavily based on lectures, some concepts aren't even in the textbook, so don't miss class!

Pros: you could do the readings whenever, you didnt really need the book (you could just borrow one before tests and she tells u exactly what u need to know from the book) basically you don't have to do any studying until a few days before the tests. gives u extra credit if ur in class the day before springbreak/ thanksgiving break
Cons: research was annoying/ hard to sign up for (but maybe that was just the semester i took it) her outlines for what was on the test sucked
you NEED to go to class because the tests are from lectures. research is annoying. tests can be confusing/ oddly worded

Pilkington is very fun and does a good job of handling a 200+ person class. She knows what she is talking about most of the time. Her tests are very difficult though and she she rarely puts any of her lecture notes online. So it is completely necessary that you attend class. More than likely she will cancel class 1-3 times throughout the semester and you get out of class early of numerous occasions.

Pros: Engaging lectures, if not always the most interesing subject.
Cons: Never answered emails, but didn't hesitate to send out a couple nasty ones herself. Test questions were incomprehensible.
I am not a psych major (or minor) and I chose this class for a GER because I thought it would be interesting. It was not, and Pilkington made it worse. Her tests do not reflect class lectures, her lectures don't always reflect the book material. It was all in all very confusing, and I ended up with a poor grade on the midterms. To make it worse, she gave no study techniques/help and made herself unavailable to students.

Pros: Exceedingly funny.
Cons: Simply doesn't teach well. The things he talks about/stresses in class are not adequately represented on the tests making studying very difficult.
This rating is for Professor NEZLEK. I don't know who this Pinkington person is.

Pros: Amazing professor. Could make any topic interesting. Always a fun environment and class.
Very important to go to every class, hardly ever use the book, no need to buy it unless you're majoring in psych or have multiple classes for that book.

Pros: fairly straight forward course. attend lectures and you're fine.
Cons: i felt like i wasn't getting my money's worth... the majority of classes we end at least 20 minutes early because it's too hot or the class "seems too quiet" or she forgot her glasses or whatever and she's cancelled (illness, injury) class several , which is way more than i've known any other professor to do. often she doesn't know the answers to questions, which may be understandable since an intro psych course is bound to raise very specific and tricky questions, but at the same time it kinda felt like she never answered a question without resorting to "well we just don't know yet..."
fulfills GER 3

Teacher who's test are more difficult than they need to be. For a GER 2, natural psych is the lesser of two evils (Intro Bio is notoriously hard), but Pilkington sometimes asks obscure questions, and often times asks questions multiple times on exams that relate to the same topic, so if you do not know the answer, then you will miss multiple questions on the exam.
